The ActiveE is one important vehicle for BMW. In case you didn't know, the Bavarian automaker is testing its electric vehicle platform with the ActiveE by allowing a group of testers, officially dubbed 'Electronauts', to lease it for a limited time. The information from this test will be passed along, and then used in the development of the new BMW i Series.
We here at BMW of Atlantic City are quite excited to see where BMW goes next with their electric vehicle platform. And while we know that it's important, we have to ask whether or not the rest of the world knows? To make sure they do, BMW has brought the ActiveE to the Electric Vehicle Conference, which is held each year by the Institute of Electrical & Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
BMW will be hosting a presentation to reaffirm the work that it's done on the ActiveE so far. They'll also be fielding questions that industry experts may have about its development. "This presentation shows how BMW has prepared for years to ensure this challenge will eventually become a success story in sustainable mobility," explains Lee Stogner, Chair, IEEE Electric Vehicle Initiative. "Showcasing their new technology and being a part of the inaugural IEVC is a great way to show the world the innovations taking place at BMW."1
