This 2020 BMW X1 preview will cover the things you’ll find in this model, which comes out in the tail end of 2019. Read through our informative guide, and feel free to contact BMW of Atlantic City if you have any questions.
Refreshed Exterior Design
The BMW X1 is getting a bit of a makeover for the 2020 model year—particularly on the outside.
It’s getting a bigger singular grille with the two classic kidney grilles being fused together by a piece of chrome trim. You’ll also find a more sculpted front bumper with additional chrome accents, plus a new rear bumper with tailpipes that are 0.8 inches larger than the previous model year.
Up front, you’ll find LED fog lights, while the back will have tinted LED taillights. Additionally, there will be 18-inch and 19-inch wheel designs, along with new body colors:
- Jucaro Beige
- Misano Blue
- Storm Bay
With all these new design elements in place, you’re sure to have an SUV that’ll turn heads wherever you go.
Interior Design & Amenities
Inside, the 2020 X1 will look largely similar to its previous model year. This includes having SensaTec seating come standard with Dakota leather upholstery being available.
One of the only major differences is that there will now be decorative contrast stitching on the instrument panel and floor mats. Plus, the a
vailable leather package will now include additional parts of the dashboard and doors.
There will continue to be lots of amenities available for this SUV. This includes heated front seats, along with a heated steering wheel. No matter how cold it may get outside, these features will quickly get you feeling nice and cozy.
The SUV will also stay nice and roomy. There will be plenty of space for five passengers among two rows. Plus, the vehicle will provide lots of cargo room, with 27.1 cubic feet behind the rear seats and 58.7 cubic feet when that row is folded down flat. Add on the standard 40/20/40 split-folding rear-seat feature, and you’ll have an easily configurable automobile.
Technologies in the 2020 X1
Finally, the latest BMW X1 will provide lots of high-tech features to help keep you connected, entertained, and safe throughout your travels.
It’ll still have the iDrive infotainment system that houses all your media options. However, it’ll now be iDrive 6, and the previously available 8.8-inch display screen will now come standard.
You’ll still get Apple CarPlay™, which lets you access your favorite mobile apps without actually touching the phone while driving. Plus, the BMW Navigation Business system can help you get from Point A to Point B in no time at all.
The technologies inside this SUV can offer you some peace of mind as well. You’ll find lots of driver-assisting technologies in the base trim of this vehicle, such as:
- Lane Departure Warning
- City Collision Mitigation with braking
- Automatic High Beams
Among these driver-assistance features, along with the available Adaptive Cruise Control, you can rest assured that the vehicle will help protect you in any driving situation.
