5 Series vs 7 Series: Interior Features
The biggest difference you’ll find between these two vehicles is that the 5 Series is classified as a midsize sedan, while the 7 Series is a large sedan. Essentially that means that the 7 Series is slightly larger around the outside and offers slightly more interior space.
You can comfortably seat up to five passengers in either vehicle. In the front row, both sedans will give you at least 41 inches of legroom. However, the 7 Series has 39.9 inches of front headroom, while the 5 Series has 38.8 inches of front headroom.
You’ll find that the 7 Series has slightly more trunk space, as well, with 18.2 cubic feet of cargo capacity. The 5 Series is still impressive in its own right, though, with up to 14 cubic feet of cargo space.
2021 5 Series vs 2021 7 Series: Technology
The available technology in the 5 Series and 7 Series is designed to enhance everything from the vehicle’s performance to its overall safety. These sedans also share a lot of similar technology features, like the available xDrive system.
xDrive is BMW’s intelligent all-wheel drive system that’s designed to help you tackle the roads. This system will optimize traction, so you’ll be equipped to handle dry roads and icy snowstorms alike.
These vehicles also both come standard with an Auto Start-Stop function with the engine. This is part of what helps them maintain excellent efficiency. Standard Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ ensure you’ll have fun when on the road with the 5 Series or 7 Series.
To top it all off, the BMW 5 Series and 7 Series both come standard with Active Driving Assistant. With this, you’ll get driver assistance and safety features, such as Frontal Collision Warning, Active Blind Spot Detection, Lane Departure Warning, and Speed Limit Info.
