2021 BMW 7 Series Review
Purposeful Performance
The 7 Series includes the 740i, 740i xDrive, 750i xDrive, M760i xDrive, 745e xDrive, and ALPINA B7 trims and provides three engines for your performance purposes. To start, the 3.0L BMW TwinPower Turbo 6-cylinder produces 335 horsepower and 331 lb-ft of torque. With this engine, it achieves an EPA-estimated 22 city/29 highway MPG. 1
Even more powerful engines follow, including the 4.4L BMW TwinPower Turbo V8, which produces 523 horsepower and 553 lb-ft of torque. The insurmountable 6.6L BMW M TwinPower Turbo V12 produces 601 horsepower and 627 lb-ft of torque, so you can count on its pickup.
Each engine except for the ALPINA B7 trim comes with 8-speed STEPTRONIC automatic transmission. The ALPINA uses SWITCH-TRONIC software with quick-shift buttons. An example of the ALPINA power shows in its acceleration from 0-60 MPH in just 3.5 seconds.
