We’ll help you decide between the 2021 BMW X7 and 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLS. Keep reading to learn more about these automobiles, and contact BMW of Atlantic City if you have any questions.

BMW X7 Engine

2021 BMW X7 vs 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLS: Performance Specs

If you’re looking for a large SUV that offers a powerful yet comfortable ride, you’ll find it in both the X7 and Mercedes-Benz GLS.

With the 2021 BMW X7, you get two engine options. For ultimate power, there’s the available 4.4L BMW M TwinPower Turbo V8 that churns out 523 horsepower and 553 lb-ft of torque.

The X7 is fast, too, going from 0 to 60 MPH in 4.0 seconds with the highest trim level engine. Then you have an 8-speed Sport automatic transmission with Sport and Manual shift modes. This feature provides smooth shifting, along with the feel of a manual. So, if you’re looking for a fast and athletic performance, you’ll find it with the BMW model.

The 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLS offers several engine options, as well. Unfortunately, the vehicle isn’t as fast—it takes 5.2 seconds to go from 0 to 60 MPH with its highest trim engine.

Interior Design & Amenities

With the 2021 BMW X7 and Mercedes-Benz GLS being luxury models, you can expect them to have elegant interiors. That’s certainly the case with these vehicles, as they have upscale cabins filled with premium materials.

For example, the BMW model comes standard with SensaTec upholstery and offers available Vernasca leather seating. Combine that with the fineline stripe Brown high-gloss wood trim, and you’ll have a truly sophisticated cabin.

In many cars, you can find another prized amenity—the moonroof. The X7 features a standard Panoramic Moonroof with an available Panoramic Sky Lounge LED roof that projects beautiful patterns from six different colors onto the glass.

A panoramic sunroof appears in the Mercedes-Benz GLS but does not provide any options like the X7 pattern projection.

BMW X7 Interior Technology

Technology in the BMW vs Mercedes-Benz

You’ll find lots of high-tech features inside the BMW X7 and Mercedes-Benz GLS, too. These technology features can help keep you connected and entertained through all your commutes.

One of the pleasures of riding in your car is the time you spend listening to the music you like. The X7 equips your vehicle with the optional Harman Kardon® Surround Sound System with 16 speakers throughout the cabin. In the Mercedes-Benz GLS, use the Burmeister® Surround Sound System that includes 13 speakers.

Both cars offer Wi-Fi connectivity, so that you can stay in touch and surf the internet for necessary information. The difference is that the X7 gives you Wi-Fi Hotspot standard, while the Mercedes-Benz GLS offers in-car Wi-Fi as optional.

2021 BMW X7 vs 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLS: Verdict
