2020 BMW M8 Preview

The 2020 BMW M8 is the sportier cousin of the 8 Series. Available in coupe and convertible versions, this vehicle is already piquing drivers’ interests in the Atlantic City, Egg Harbor, and Vineland areas.

It won’t be in production until the second half of 2019. However, you get to learn a bit about it now in this 2020 BMW M8 preview.

Keep reading to get the inside scoop on this impressive machine and feel free to contact BMW of Atlantic City if you have any questions.

Aggressive Exterior

The 2020 BMW M8 will have a bold exterior that really caters to its sporty aesthetic. For instance, you’ll find the iconic kidney grille up front with aggressive headlamps on either side.

On the sides, there are M-style mirrors that are easy to notice and appreciate. However, you definitely can’t ignore the coupe’s roof, which slopes up in the front to have room for the windshield. Then, it gradually slopes all the way down to the rear, where the decklid spoiler caps-off the vehicle’s angular look.

Carefully placed body lines also help enhance the car’s muscular profile, but in ways that would appeal to all types of drivers.

The vehicle is available as a convertible, too. The multi-layer soft top opens and closes in about 15 seconds. Therefore, you can enjoy some fresh air on a nice day, then quickly close it back up when the weather starts to take a turn.

Refined Interior

Inside the 2020 M8 is a cabin that gives you that nice blend of athleticism and sophistication. The black leather seats are very comfortable. Plus, they have a brown contrast stitching and brown diamond inlay pattern to give it both a sporty look and premium feel.

You then have a shift lever that’s covered in black leather with a red contrast stitching. Tack on red accents on the center console, and you won’t be able to stop staring at the car’s interior.

A Carbon Fiber interior trim comes standard, with various wood and leather options to choose from. As a result, you’ll be able to get a cabin that fully suits your personal style.

You then have a Live Cockpit Professional, which features an iDrive 7.0 infotainment system. You can navigate through it in a number of different ways, including the 12.3-inch touchscreen or iDrive Touch Controller. There will even be a BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant. Just say “Hey BMW,” and it’ll respond to a wide variety of commands for your convenience.

Dynamic Performance

Finally, the BMW M8 will provide a powerful and agile performance, to help elevate all your drives around town.

The vehicle will come standard with a 4.4L M TwinPower Turbo V8 that churns out 600 horsepower and 553 lb-ft of torque. Plus, it can go from 0-60 MPH in 3.1 seconds—sure to leave other automobiles in the dust.

Additionally, the M8 will have a double-wishbone front suspension and 5-link rear suspension. As a result, it’ll handle exceptionally well, whether you’re cruising around town or zipping down the racetrack.

Furthermore, this automobile will come standard in xDrive—the BMW intelligent all-wheel drive system. Normally, it’ll stay in rear-wheel drive to maximize efficiency. However, when wheel slip is detected, power will be sent to the wheels with the most grip to help you remain in control. Plus, xDrive can switch between 4-wheel drive (4WD) and 4WD Sport. Therefore, you can have that optimum grip while taking on the most winding roads with ease.
