About This Local Brewery

Somers Point Brewing Company is known as an “independent craft brewery.” Their focus is on small batch beers, using premium ingredients to get top-quality flavor every time.

When you visit the brewery, you’re welcome to take a tour with one of their expert staff members. This is where you’ll learn the brewing process, plus gain insight into the recipes they create.

This is also where you’ll find their 7-barrel brewing system. It’s capable of producing an impressive 217 gallons of beer per batch. Needless to say, there’s more than enough brews for you and your friends to try while you visit.

Beers You’ll Find on Tap

Beers On TapSo, what types of beer will you find at this local brewery? The selection varies, but can include drinks like:

  • Big Nose Blond Ale: a light-bodied ale that has floral and fruity notes from late-addition Amarillo hops.
  • Healthy Paranoia D-IPA: a smooth double IPA that’s slightly fruity and dry-hopped with El Dorado, Glacier, and Loral hops.
  • Mother Pucker Kettle Sour: a kettle sour that’s tart yet refreshing and tastes just like key lime pie.

If you’re not a big drinker, you can still join in on the fun! They offer a non-alcoholic root beer on tap, as well as crowlers and growlers, so you can have it at home.

How to Enjoy These Handcrafted Brews

Tasting RoomNo matter which beers interest you the most, there are several ways to enjoy them.

First, you can sit in the tasting room and sample various beers. They don’t take reservations, so it is done on a first-come, first-serve basis. They also don’t serve food, but they encourage you to bring your own. In fact, they have a selection of menus on hand from local restaurants. This is so you follow their motto of “drink local, eat local.” Go ahead and place a food order for pickup or delivery, then chow down at the brewery!

The local businesses offer these beers, as well. Somers Point Brewing distributes its beers to various bars and restaurants in the region. So, if you stop by an eatery in the area, there’s a good chance you’ll have one of these beers to imbibe in with your food.

You can always have these beers from the comfort of home, too. Place a to-go order of cans or 32-ounce crowlers. You can even get a 64-ounce growler refill and spend a long time enjoying your favorite brews safely at home.
